Troy and Willie at Steelers training camp

I've actually had these for awhile, but I didn't have time to post. Thank you, CMU Steelers fans!

Note the beads of sweat on Troy's forehead. Wow! And Willie - dang! I have hi-res images of these, if you want them to blow up to a life-size poster, send me an email!

In more recent news, SI.com reported that Joey Porter got in a little trouble:

Two dogs owned by Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Joey Porter got off his fenced property and killed a miniature horse on a nearby farm, leading to citations that carry several hundred dollars in potential fines.

Porter's dogs, a pit bull and a mastiff, got loose Tuesday and killed the horse that was less than three feet tall.

"It was an accident and I am not sure how the dogs escaped," Porter said in a statement. "I have reached out to the owners of the horse and will do whatever I can to help them get through this very unfortunate situation."

Porter was cited Thursday for harboring dangerous dogs, failure to confine the dogs, and failure to have the dogs licensed. The fines carry several hundred dollars in potential fines.

Of course, this accident is really sad. And obviously, nobody would have ever heard about it if Joey Porter wasn't the owner of the dogs. But miniature horse?!? That is so completely random. Has anybody ever heard of them before?

I did not know these existed.

The two P's

Stunning. And Joey's kiss on Bill Cowher's neck! I wish that was my neck.

I'm really sad I missed the pre-show. Did they need to start that early? 8:30pm  for them = 5:30pm for me! I barely got home in time for kickoff.

Also - Dear NBC, the 1,000,000 mentions of the two M's (during both the broadcast and commercials) were sickening. I hate both of them. They are ugly to look at. I don't care about their dumb game against each other on Sunday. What has either done that is so great?
PM = Pretty Miserable and EM = Even More.

I kind of felt bad that the refs ignored Dolphins coach Nick Saban's challenge. But really, the way he threw that flag was  incredibly pathetic.  Can you even call that throwing? He held it in his hand, swung his arm a couple of times, and then on the third time he dropped it by his feet.  Weak.

Did you see Charlie Batch's mom? Wow. I scoured the internet for a side profile of her hair but this will have to do:

This doesn't even do it justice.

Don't think I'm not excited

I have a good excuse for not updating. I swear!

The company I'm working for is going out of business and I've been put in charge of liquidating ALL of the remaining inventory.

Needless to say, with an undertaking of this magnitude and also faced with the task of seeking new employment, the blog has fallen by the wayside. Now that I've acquired a new job and my old job is ending next week, I can again focus on what's REALLY important.

Also - I didn't watch ANY of the preseason games. WTF? San Diego just doesn't care to let me see them.

Can I also please say that I heard about Ben's emergency appendectomy and the Crocodile Hunter's death at exactly the same time and I really cared about Ben more? Will I go to hell for saying that?

This is me at work right now. I'm making a horrible face but I'm not re-taking the picture because the last 3 people in the office keep walking past my desk and I'm not really prepared to answer why I'm taking a picture of myself. I'm really excited about tonight! Here we go on our long journey to Super Bowl 41 (I don't do roman numerals).
