Does anybody realize it is my destiny...

to meet Snoop Dogg? I understand that this blog is about the Steelers, but I will explain shortly how this is relevant.

My friend was in town visiting me last weekend and she mentioned how she was invited to work at the American Music Awards lounge (where they give celebs all of the swag) and how she really didn't care to go. I was like "WHAT!?!?!? You are going. You have to." Then we looked at the list of presenters/performers. Who was at the top of the list? Snoop! Then I got really really excited again, because he is my most favorite celebrity of all time, and I made her promise if she met him that she would have to tell him how much I love him and how he should definitely visit YinzLuvSteelers.com - since he is also a huge Steelers fan.

I got this email this morning:

So all the presenters/performers received a trunk full of stuff, plus there was a lounge where they were supposed to come to to pick up more stuff.

We delivered Snoop's trunk to him, and his people kept saying he was on his way to the lounge to pick out the rest of the stuff, but he never showed.  I even claimed him, and everyone knew I had a message to deliver.   So I'm really sorry, but Snoop doesn't know that you love him.

Yet another opportunity missed. I actually considered missing work to go to LA specifically to work this event in hopes of meeting him, so I am glad that reason told me to not call off.

I just realized I have never blogged about the other time fate made me miss Snoop. That story is actually about the Steelers. I should write about that soon.

Oh Bettina. Lest we forget the super secret Maxim party with the private Snoop performance I invited you to....we'll just pretend that he got too sleepy and didn't show up, making it reasonable behavior for you not to show up! Now, please write a new sad post about how our season is over.

p.s. Eckerd has all of this sweet Steelers shit, my favorite being this gargantuan Steelers tape measure. It's a big honking thing, very blue collar chic. I'll be on the lookout for clearance deals - want anything? No time like the present to get ready for next year's win!!!

I love the blog that you have. I was wondering if you would link my blog to yours and in return I would do the same for your blog. If you want to, my site name is American Legends and the URL is:

www.americanlegends.blogspot.com

If you want to do this just go to my blog and in one of the comments just write your blog name and the URL and I will add it to my site.

Thanks,
David

Hey. This is Pete, one of the founders of Yardbarker (www.yardbarker.com). I couldn't find your email address, but I'd like to speak to you about the linking program that we're doing with a bunch of sports bloggers. It's basically a way for you to get a lot more sports fans reading your best posts. Would you mind contacting me at pete@yardbarker.com so I can email you with more info? Thanks.

Pete
